Pray Forty, Day Eighteen: Apple Computer
Word on the street is that Apple will soon be bringing over 3600 jobs to Austin. That’s exciting news, and in light of the fact that today is the day to pray for the poor of Austin, I took this opportunity to go lift up the tech sector and pray for people who are struggling as a member of the unemployed community to find their way into some of these positions. Austin is home to many high tech companies including Apple, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Dell, 3M, Hostgator and many others. We have a strong economy in large part because of these companies and the opportunities they provide, so let’s agree in prayer that the city mayor and business development leadership will continue to make Austin an appealing place for them to set up their operations bases. Let’s pray that these job creators find their solutions among the needy of Austin.
